Jim Machacek is the founding member of the Northfield Hockey Association. He has been a longtime supporter and contributor to youth hockey in Northfield.

The Jim Machacek Award is presented annually to an individual or organization to recognize dedication in promoting youth hockey in Northfield. All NHA members are encouraged to nominate someone they believe stands out as committed in the Northfield Hockey Association. The nominee can be a coach or volunteer who has made a difference in a young player’s hockey world, or someone who has supported the NHA through monetary donations.
