Flood Procedure
*_Procedure for Flooding_*
Hose is located under the steps leading to the Mezzanine
To hook up the hose, start with any segment of the hose. Screw on to threaded shut off located on the wall under steps of Mezzanine.
If it’s snowing its best to flood only if it is forecast to be less than one inch and temp is below 10 degrees above zero.
The temperature should be below 32
Flooding should take place at 9 p.m. or later. During College or High School games we are not to flood during the games. Most HS games end before 9:30.
Drain and wrap/roll the hose up when you are done and return to the box under the steps leading to the mezzanine

Open Board positions
We have 3 board members that have completed their 3 year terms. If you want to be part of the NHA board please contact any board member.
Voting for new board members will take place at the Annual meeting April 16th, 6:30 pm Northfield Golf Club.
Dundas rink needs lights! March 12, 7 pm Dundas City Hall
There is an opportunity to improve outdoor skating availability for the whole community. Dundas is looking to obtain a grant to put lights on their outdoor rink.
We are asking that NHA members help this cause in getting lights on another outdoor rink by showing up and speaking to the Dundas City council.
Public Hearing
March 12th at 7pm.

Please send nominations to any board member before March 19th.
The Jim Machacek Award is presented annually to an individual or organization to recognize dedication in promoting youth hockey in Northfield. All NHA members are encouraged to nominate someone they believe stands out as committed in the Northfield Hockey Association. The nominee can be a coach or volunteer who has made a difference in a young player’s hockey world, or someone who has supported the NHA through monetary donations.
