Zane Borchers Memorial Scholarships

NHA is offering scholarships this season in memory of Zane Borchers.  Zane was a long-time board member of NHA an avid supporter of hockey and youth sports.  Due the generosity of the Borchers family and many donors, NHA will be able to offer scholarship(s) totaling $1,000.  Scholarships are available for those who have already registered or those who have not registered.  Applicants should send an email to with background on their need for a scholarship, love of hockey, and why they would be a deserving recipient.  Applications are due by this Thursday, September 29th at 5:00pm. 

New Parents Meeting

We will have an informational meeting for parents that our new to NHA or new to hockey this coming Saturday, October 1st at 2:00pm.   It is an opportunity to ask any questions or get additional details on the upcoming season and is open to anyone.  The meeting will be held Saturday, October 1st at 2:00pm at the Northfield Arena.  If the weather is nice we will meet outside for the discussion.

Preseason Clinics

Free September clinics at St. Olaf 

NHA has partnered with St. Olaf to provide some pre-season sessions for SR. Mites/U8 and older that will be run by the Men’s and Women’s St. Olaf teams. These clinics are optional and will only be available for NHA participants that are registered for the 2022-23 season. Below is the schedule for these sessions:

  • Tuesday September 13th

    • 6:00pm-7:00pm = All Peewees

    • 7:15pm-8:15pm = All Bantams

  • Thursday September 15th

    • 5:45-6:450pm = All U12s & All U15s

  • Tuesday September 20th

    • 6:00pm-7:00pm = All Squirts

    • 7:15pm-8:15pm = All Bantams

  • Thursday September 22nd   

    • 6:00pm-7:00pm = All U10s and All U8s

    • 7:15pm-8:15pm = All U15s

  • Tuesday September 27th

    • 6:00pm-7:00pm = All Sr. Mites

    • 7:15pm-8:15pm = All Peewees

  • Thursday September 29th  

    • 6:00pm-7:00pm = All U10s and All U8s

    • 7:15pm-8:15pm = All U12s

**Players must be registered with NHA or Cannon River Coop before attending the pre-season sessions.
