Fundraising

Fundraising is the key to keep the cost of hockey down for you and all our members!

• 1 hour of ice time costs NHA on average between $185-245, varies by rink and time of day
• Our ice bill for the 2025-2026 season was ~ $159,000
• Some other expenses for NHA are: coaches fees, equipment costs, insurance, officials costs and tournament fees
• Our parent coaches and board members are all volunteers
• NHA fundraising goal for 2026-2027 is $50,000. 

To help keep registration fees as low as possible, we rely on every family to participate in fundraising each season. As of the 2025-26 season, each family MUST choose one of the following fundraising options during registration. You can participate in both, but must select one. If you participate in both, only one check will be required. If you do not wish to participate in fundraising, you MUST select the Buyout option upon registration.

You will be asked to indicate your choice upon registration and submit a Fundraising Check at the mandatory preseason meeting (in addition to your DIBS check): 

• $200 for Mini-Mite/U6 players ($300 for a buyout)
• $400 for all other levels OR multi-player families ($500 for a buyout)

• Mini-Mite/U6: Sell 10 tickets
• All other levels OR multi-player families: Sell 20 tickets 
• Additional tickets will be available if you'd like to sell more.
• We will need ALL Cash Raffle stubs returned, sold or unsold, along with the money collected for the cash raffle tickets. 
• If your player required amounts are NOT met, your check will be cashed at the end of the cash raffle fundraiser. If your player required amounts are MET, your check will be destroyed.

• Mini-Mite/U6: Sell 10 cards
• All other levels OR multi-player families: Sell 20 cards
• You may sell more if interested.
• If your player required amounts are NOT met, your check will be cashed at the end of the fundraiser. If your player required amounts are MET, your check will be destroyed.

• Mini-Mite/U6: $300
• All other levels OR multi-player families: $500
• Your check will be cashed at the start of the season.
